Mechalopolis

Description:
When a large meteor crashed down onto the planet, it brought with it some massive unexpected changes. Wild weather patterns wreaked havoc while the organisms on the meteor thrived, producing strange insect-like creatures took over the land. 

A cluster of survivors banded together and over the years they were hidden away, they built an enormous fort capable of traversing the land and defending from the hordes and weather, and so named it Mechalopolis. 
Now the only thing that remains is to begin the operation and hope the fort is able to make it through to the regions unaffected by this disaster. Can they make it through?

Gameplay:
Mechalopolis is a tower defense oriented game with a hint of resource management. Travel through the environment, choosing from different paths, collecting resources and risking encounters. All while being chased by a Mega-Storm.
Fight your way through encounters, placing down defense turrets, walls and buildings to defend from the hordes of enemies running towards the core of your fort! 
Upgrade parts of your fort through research, carefully managing your resources as you choose where to spend them.

This game was made in Unity by a group of students from Media Design School in New Zealand.
